With the HDI national conference at the end of the month,April 24-27,in Orlando FL,there isn’t a window to reschedule in April. We will reschedule the topic for a meeting later in the year. The next schedule meeting is now Jun 5th. As President,I would like to assure you this is only a minor setback,we will work very hard to make this meeting up later in the year. Please continue to reach out to myself or any of the chapter officers with your ideas and desires for meeting content. My continued vision and top priority is to make TriHDI a first class chapter that caters to its memberships desires as much as possible. In our first year 2011,you the members have chosen to vote TriHDI into the 2011 Circle of Excellence President’s Circle of HDI local chapters. TriHDI was one of only 25 local chapters to receive this honor from its membership, for this my officers and I,want to say thank you!! We take this as a huge vote of confidents from you that our meetings have provided good content and value. We want to continue to fulfill the same role for 2012 and look forward to bringing you many more quality programs throughout 2012. By TriHDI Webmaster,on January 10th,2012 Hello everyone! As you probably know, last year HDI published the first ever comprehensive industry benchmarking report for desktop support. The 2011 HDI Desktop Support Practices &Salary Report was very well received, and now that we’re collecting data for the 2012 report,I want to make sure that you take the opportunity to participate. The data gathered from this survey will provide unique insight into the current salaries, staffing practices, technologies, metrics, and processes in the desktop support industry. The resulting report is a unique opportunity to benchmark desktop-specific statistics against other organization. Learn how the industry has changed over the past year and get a glimpse into where it may be headed. After completing the survey, you’ll be immediately entered into a drawing to win an Apple iPad. Plus, you’ll receive a complimentary copy of the resulting report, published this spring, which will allow you to see how your organization compares to the industry as a whole. Deadline for completion is January 20,2012 and I would certainly love to have your participation. If you aren’t directly responsible for desktop operations, please share this invitation with the person in your organization who would benefit most from this data. If you began the survey and have not completed it,the link below will take you to where you left off. https://hdi.us.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_d58EBVzaM3OjaaE By TriHDI Webmaster,on December 10th,2011 TriHDI held its year-end meeting this past Tuesday. We had visitors from all over the industry, including large contingents from Martin-Marietta and UNC Chapel Hill. Our speaker was David Stucky, who led a great discussion on ITIL and its benefits and challenges. He was very well received, and audience participation was very good.
